The PHRI yearly fee to become a member under the BSWA umbrella will be Rp 500,000. However if the spa is in a hotel or villa which is already a member of PHRI then automatically the spa is a member of PHRI. The goal is to widen our network - PHRI will act as a mediator to any government body that is needed for our issues, standard practice, etc. Also we will get the opportunity to educate the government on what the spa industry is really about. On the day of launching (19 October) there will be official coverage by local media, and this will be the first such coverage for BSWA in Indonesia. At the launch there will be the hand over of certificates to the BSWA members who become PHRI member | | 2. | Taking care of our therapists - Lala (representing the Conrad as the winner of Spa Crystal award for Best Resort Spa) explained how important it is to give some exercises to the therapist such as Yoga, Meditation etc to achieve good quality, motivated staff. Also it is essential so that the treatment is given from their heart | | 3. | Our draft Standards and Practice were discussed and analysed by all present | | 4. | Georgia Fell Smith is currently recruiting three therapists for work in a day spa in Ireland. Please contact her for more details | | 5. | Issues for therapists to consider when looking for work overseas include:
cost of living, transport, entertainment, medical reimbursements, how long is the contract, home trips and holiday allowances, training done and costs involved, food allowance is daily, monthly? Etc | | 6. | INSENCE Event will still be on 29 November until 2 December at the WestIn & Asia Spa/ Wellness Festival, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 1-2 December, 2006 | | 7. | End of Year Event- its ’all about the Staff ‘ – watch out for details soon | | 8. | Asia Invest – the Spa Association of the Philippines is preparing a submission on behalf of Phil, Indo, Malay, and Thailand. Grants may be valued at 100,000 to 600,000 euros. Intends to partner with CIBTAC. This is a 3 year project focused on in -country training and includes: Importation of product into the EU, Training of Spa Operators, and Training of Massage Therapists. The submission needs to include information on the following and any input from BSWA members is most welcome: What Value will this add to our Community-Industry? How can this project have sustainability? Iuran anggota untuk menjadi anggota PHRI bagi anggota BSWA adalah Rp. 500.000 per tahun dan jika spa tersebut adalah bagian dari hotel atau villa yang telah menjadi anggota PHRI, maka hotel atau villa tersebut telah otomatis menjadi anggota PHRI
Tujuannya adalah untuk memperluas jaringan kerja sama (networking), PHRI akan menjadi mediator ke badan pemerintahan yang akan diperlukan dikemudian hari untuk kepentingan kita, standard practice dll. Dan yang lebih penting lagi untuk mengedukasi badan pemerintahan mengenai apa itu spa yang sebenarnya

Donasi diperkirakan senilai Euro 100.000 – 600.000. Bermaksud berkerja sama dengan CIBTAC. Merupakan projek 3 tahun, yang memfokuskan diri pada training dalam negeri dan termasuk : pentingnya produk import yang masuk dalam (stadardisasi) EU, Pelatihan Operator Spa, dan Training massage untuk therapist.
